The Second Royal Wedding of the year

This weekend sees the second Royal Wedding of 2011, with the Queen's granddaughter and Princess Anne's daughter Zara Phillips set to wed rugby player Mike Tindall.

The Wedding takes place at the Canongate Kirk on Edinburgh's Royal Mile on Saturday 30th July 2011. Followed by a reception held at Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, the Queen's official home in Scotland.

The Couple met back in 2003 during England's Rugby World Cup-winning campaign in Australia. Mike continues to play rugby for England and he captains Gloucester. It is reported fellow England World Cup squad player, Iain Balshaw will be best man. Zara has also achieved sporting success, winning individual gold in three-day eventing at the World Equestrian Games in Germany in 2006. It was this victory that helped her become BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 2007, her mother Princess Anne won the title in 1971.

Speculation has been building about the second Royal Wedding Dress of the year, it is rumoured that Zara has chosen the Queen's favourite couturier Stewart Parvin. With Stewart being the youngest Royal couturier the dress is expected to be modern and chic. It is believed that the Queen wore one of Stewarts creations for Barrack Obamas recent state visit.

The excited couple will hold a pre-wedding cocktail party aboard the Royal Yacht Britannia. Before the ship was decommissioned in 1997, the Britannia had carried the Royal family on 968 official voyages over four decades. In times gone by the ship was traditionally used for Royal honeymoons, including that of the brides parents; Princess Anne and Capt Mark Phillips honeymooned on the ship in 1973.
