After 10 months of dating, former cricketer Shane Warne has proposed to girlfriend and Estee Lauder model Liz Hurley. It is reported that Shane popped the question over a romantic meal, at the exclusive Old Course Hotel in St Andrews.
Stunned VIP guests looked on in amazement as Shane made his proposal, a source is reported as saying "Shane proposed over dinner and it was fairly public, not a private affair. He didn't get down on one knee, but when it was announced the other guests stood up and applauded."
The proposal will probably come as no surprise to their close family and friends, nor the general public, the couple have been plagued with rumours of engagement in recent weeks. Liz was seen today flashing her stunning sapphire engagement ring at the Alfred Dunhill Links championship this afternoon, she was accompanied by Shane and her nine-year-old son Damien from her relationship with Steve Bing. This will be the second marriage for both Shane & Liz; Shane divorced wife of ten years Simone in 2006 and Hurley divorced textiles heir Arun Hayar in June 2011.
At Ideal Bride Magazine we would like to congratulate the newly engaged couple and wish them all the best for the future. We look forward to keeping up to date with the wedding plans.
