Debenhams recreate the dress that captured a nation

UK department store, Debenhams has launched a replica of the bridesmaid dress that captured the world and launched a star. When Pippa Middleton followed behind Sister Kate at this year's Royal wedding, the nation and the world were transfixed on the gorgeous maid-of-honour dress, designed by fashion house Alexander McQueen.

The simple and stunning gown soon became the most requested gown in bridal ateliers for brides, not bridesmaids. Those brides' dreams can now become a reality as Debenhams recreate the royal look and for a fraction of the £20,000 price tag.

The high street department store launches the £170 cowl-neck dress today and can be complimented by a range of other royal inspired wedding pieces. The silk dress features many of the details seen in the Alexander McQueen original, with cap sleeves and the line of covered buttons running the length of the back of the gown.

The made-of-honour became a household name overnight and the attention was surrounding her magnificent dress amongst other assets! The duchess of Cambridge and her sister, Pippa are seen as fashion icons and Debenhams have recognised this and will also be selling replicas of other dresses the Middleton sisters have publicly worn.
