Ellis Bridals Centenary Collection

Creative Director, Regine Ellis told us "2012 will be celebrated with our Centenary Collection. The range is made of key pieces directly inspired by our 100 years in the industry. Inspiration for the Centenary 2012 collection came straight out of the Ellis history books. My team and myself spent many nights studying the gowns from our past and piecing together our history. What we found was a wealth of intricate embellishments, stunning silhouettes and luxury fabrics. This inspiration followed through into our stunning imagery, photographed in the beautiful surroundings of Syon Park House."

Meet Regine Ellis, Creative Director

Ideal Bride Magazine have asked Regine Ellis the questions our bride's want the answers to and here is what she told us:

Ellis Bridals Centenary Collection

What should a bride consider when choosing her wedding dress: "Envision your wedding. Picture yourself on your wedding day. What are you wearing? What silhouette is your gown? What fabric? It is important to choose a gown that reflects you, try not to slavishly follow trends. At Ellis we create dresses that take elements of what is fashionable now and we blend them with details from our past. What this forms is a dress that not only echoes our identity but also timeless in its design."

What will be the next big wedding dress trend: "This coming season is all about large voluminous gowns. We have created some beautiful silhouettes this season in fine overlapping tulle and sweeping metal taffeta with twisted pick-ups. But we have contrasted these big styles with some vintage-inspired slim dresses decorated in delicate beading on the bust line, dipping into our rich heritage for inspiration. Lace is also key for this year with the recent royal wedding still in the minds of most brides, so you will see a lot of lace detailing on sleeves and covering straps in our upcoming 2012 collection."

Best Piece of advice you can offer brides: "Take your time and choose a dress that suits your shape. Such as an hourglass shape is perfect for a curvier shape or maybe for a top-heavy shape try a V-neck for example, which elongates the figure. A great way to get all the latest advice and trends is to follow some of the fab bridal blogs, twitter and facebook accounts. They are a great way to get some original styling and keep up to speed with everything you need to know! For both Ellis and our bridesmaids brand Kelsey Rose we have our own regularly updated Facebook and Twitter accounts letting everyone know about any articles or updates we think our brides may find interesting. We have also launched a brand new blog presenting all our press received and we are putting together articles for the future on everything you need to know."
