Picture Perfect: Jodie & Ollie

Jodie King (nee Wilkinson), 28 and Ollie King, 29 Live in Beckenham, Kent, though we're both from West Bridgford in Nottingham. They met at school when Jodie was 16 and Ollie was 17. They were in the same Geography class, Jodie found out Ollie liked her through a friend. It was December 1999 and the couple shared our first kiss on Millennium eve.

Jodie says on her engagement "I wasn't expecting it at all, as I thought after being together for 10 years I would have guessed it was coming. We were in the Lake District glamping in a Yurt. After a 5 mile walk we went back to our hut in the forest and had a BBQ. It was getting dark so we went inside to sit in front of our log fire with a glass of wine. Ollie had lit lots of tea lights around the yurt, and knelt down to add another log to the fire, where he had hidden the ring, and turned around to me on one knee. I couldn't stop crying, but managed to pull myself together long enough to say yes."

With a budget of 20k set, the guest list organised and a pink and plum theme agreed, the couple celebrated at their Hen & Stag parties. Jodie went to Manchester for the weekend. Organised by her sister the group had a dance lesson to learn a 'Grease' routine it tied in with the theme for the evening, as Jodie was made to dress as Sandy from Grease, and her friends and sisters were pink ladies.

Ollie went to Brighton for the weekend where his 2 best men, they went to the races and went out to a club, followed by a strip club. Prior to going out for the evening, Ollie had a house call from a stripper, which his best men had arranged for him. The eve of the wedding was soon upon the happy couple, Jodie spent the night before the wedding at The Carriage Hall and Ollie stayed at his mum's house, both arrived in style the following morning, Jodie in a classic white Jaguar MK2 from Dennison Classic Cars and Ollie in an executive car.

The Brides Outfit

"My dress was a provonias dress that i got from Bride and Groom Ltd in Bromly, Kent and my shoes were from Faith. The dress was complimented beautifully by my fantastic bouquet by Floral Deco and tiara by The Wedding Boutique"

The Entertainment

"The Carriage Hall is part of the Perkins restaurant, so all of the catering was done by them. It was of a very high standard, and is something most of our guests commented on.

Our cake was a 3-tier marbled cake with white chocolate icing. It had hand made white chocolate roses, and was stunning. It was designed and made by Karen Jerram at Baked to perfection."

The First Dance

"We had I Swear by All-4-One, which we have always said would be our first dance song. We didn't have it choreographed because we didn't want it to seem too stiff and unnatural, but we did throw in a few spins!"

"I remember most the moment Ollie turned around as I walked down the aisle and saying our promises to each other. I thought I'd be nervous, but it just felt right, even with a room full of people watching. Ollie's memorable moments were seeing me for the first time as i came down the aisle and doing his speech."
