Bespoke Decorations: Giddy Weddings

Giddy Kipper launched at The Country Living Fair in 2004, selling handmade, hand painted wooden home accessories and gifts. As the company took off, they were frequently asked about providing wedding products for brides & grooms and favours and decorations for venues. In 2006, Giddy Kipper added the wedding range to the Giddy family and has not looked back.

The Giddy Kipper team are helpful and approachable and hope that they can add a little piece of handmade happiness to the Bride & Grooms special day. Many couples who contact them are looking for something unique or out of the ordinary, just like them. Due to the success of their wedding range, Giddy Kipper have launched a dedicated wedding storefront Giddy Weddings on popular gifting site notonthehigstreet.com

With prices starting from around £4 for floral hearts and alphabet hearts for favours, to large direction signs from around £40. The Giddy Wedding's product range includes large hearts and stars personalised with names and wedding date, daisy hearts for flower girls and bridesmaids, pageboy stars, rustic just married signs, floral wooden letters, sailboats and seaside-style hearts for beach weddings, place name holders such as toadstools and tiny beach huts.

A word from Giddy Weddings

What service can couples expect?

"We feel we can offer a truly personal service to any bride & groom. Being a small company, we are able to communicate directly to ensure the correct colour scheme or theme, size and style of products or even make items specifically for that couple. As we make everything to order, we are able to provide a wide variety of designs, we can adjust existing designs or design something totally new to fit in perfectly with the wedding plans.

We can also provide a free sample of the items in the chosen colour, so that changes can be made if necessary and every item can be personalised with names and dates if required. Fantastic customer service is a priority for our company, we want to make sure that the products we provide are exactly as envisaged; down to the last ribbon or shade of pink."

What advice can you offer couples when sourcing their wedding decoration supplier?

"We feel it is important for couples to be true to themselves and choose decorations and accessories that reflect their personalities. We hope to enhance their special day by adding some handmade loveliness to the proceedings! If the couple feel they would like a theme then we can advise what sort of accessories or decorations would suit or we can match any items to a chosen colour scheme. We are more than happy to discuss any plans the couple may have to see if we can help."

When should a couple order their wedding decorations?

"Obviously there will be lots of items on the wedding ‘to do' list, but we would advise at least talking through the ideas with us as soon as possible and then ordering at least a couple of months in advance. This gives us plenty of time to make all the items and to get everything looking perfect for the big day, allowing time for any alterations that may occur."

What do you think will be the next big wedding decoration trend?

"We feel the DIY look will continue to grow adding a much more personalised feel to the day and a much more individual look. Some couples have the time to make their own decorations, invitations etc and will also ask friends and relatives to help but others will (hopefully!) involve small companies like ourselves to take away some of the stress but provide exactly what the couple had hoped for in terms of decorations, signage, table accessories, table numbers and so on."

How important are the wedding decorations?

"They seem to be very important to the couples we speak to! We are seeing more and more couples adding lovely personalised accessories and favours to their special day. They want items that are personal to them as a couple, that are a reminder to their guests of a special day with individual names and dates. The little details add a very special touch and provide a lovely keepsake."
