The number one choice for hen party activities is a cocktail making class, there isn't a better way to celebrate your pre nuptials than with your friends over a cocktail or two or three. If you have always wanted to learn the art of mixology and make your favourite cocktails, this is the activity for you. This activity teaches you in a fun and friendly way and is a sure hit with everyone.
The class begins with a short lesson on the history of cocktails and the essential skills and methods to making classic cocktails. You are then invited up to the bar in pairs where you will compete to make the best cocktails and are then judged by the rest of the hen party where they will decide the overall winner and crown their cocktail queen. Once you have enjoyed sampling the many cocktails you have made you can enjoy a sumptuous platter of food and then head onto the bars and clubs.

If you feel like swatting up before doing this activity here are some classic cocktail recipes:
1 tsp white sugar
A good squeeze of lime or lemon juice
A handful of mint sprigs, include the stalks
Ice
Soda water, to serve
50ml white rum
A dash of Angostura Bitters
Lime slices, to serve
Put the sugar in the bottom of a glass and pour the citrus juice over, to just cover it. Add 2 long sprigs of mint. Muddle (gently pound) the juice, sugar and mint.
Add ice to the top of the glass, fill the glass two-thirds full with soda water.
Add the rum.
Stir and add a dash of Angostura Bitters.
Top with slices of lime.
1 oz vodka
1/2 oz triple sec
1/2 oz Rose's lime juice
1/2 oz cranberry juice
Shake vodka, triple sec, lime and cranberry juice vigorously in a shaker with ice.
Strain into a martini glass, garnish with a lime wedge on the rim, and serve.
