The Black Swan at Helmsley is a historic inn, turned boutique hotel. It's varied exterior, with its black and white timbered, Elizabethan and Georgian elements, portrays a rich history dating back to the C15th. Located in the heart of one of the North Yorkshire Moors prettiest villages, the hotel is smartly appointed, blending antiques with classic contemporary design.

Whatever style of wedding you opt for you can be assured that your every need will be personally dealt with by the Black Swan's dedicated Wedding Co-ordinator to ensure that your wedding day is unique and special in every way.

The Black Swan offers four different wedding packages to suit your personal requirements. The Rievaulx and Bilsdale packages are ideal for up to 50 guests, whilst the Wordsworth and Exclusive Use packages are ideal for up to 90 guests. Additional evening guests can be catered for taking the maximum number of guests in the evening to 140.

The carefully designed wedding menus compliment most people's tastes and needs. The Black Swan understands that choosing the menu can be a difficult decision to make. However, from their chefs many years of experience The Black Swan offer a selection of the most popular dishes to tickle even the most discerning taste buds.

The Black Swan wedding packages offer a selection of menus for your wedding breakfast, canapes, drinks reception, and for the wine to accompany your meal. They also offer a selection of buffet menus if you choose to have an evening buffet. The Black Swan ask that you choose a set menu for your wedding breakfast, however alternative menus are available for guests with special dietary requirements and for children requiring alternative menus.

With four function rooms to choose from, the Black Swan is the ideal setting for any wedding. Each of the rooms is licensed to hold Civil Ceremonies with capacities ranging from 20 to 90 guests. The wedding breakfast can be held in the Rutland Restaurant, the Garden Room and the Crosland Room, with capacities ranging from 24 to 90 guests. Each of the rooms can host the evening reception and capacities range from 20 to 140 guests.

The Black Swan's Vintage Afternoon Tea Party Wedding Package is inspired by a sense of timeless elegance and girly romance. The formal wedding breakfast is replaced with a mouth watering Afternoon Tea served on mismatch vintage fine bone china and tired silver cake stands. Crisp white linen, topped with pretty pink and white polka dot tablecloths and chair ties, complement the theme.
